‘Still in the market’: Sky journalist backs Arsenal to make one more signing after Zinchenko

Arsenal have enjoyed a fruitful summer transfer window so far.

The Gunners have signed their top attacking target in Gabriel Jesus and have landed a gem in Fabio Vieira.

Arsenal have also brought in a top talent in Marquinhos and cover for Aaron Ramsdale in Matt Turner.

Now, the Gunners are about to bring Oleksandr Zinchenko to the Emirates Stadium too.

However, there is one area Arsenal have tried to strengthen but have so far failed to do so – namely, the wings.

The Gunners tried to sign Raphinha from Leeds United, but he went to Barcelona instead.

Arsenal have reportedly also eyed the likes of Raheem Sterling, Moussa Diaby and Serge Gnabry this summer.

However, Sterling has joined Chelsea, while Diaby and Gnabry have committed their futures to their current clubs.

Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth reckons the Gunners could look to sign another attacker after completing the Zinchenko deal.

“I just get the impression that maybe they’re still in the market for a forward player,” he told GiveMeSport.

“Because if they were willing to outlay, you know, in excess of £50million for Raphinha, then it’s obvious to think that that position is a priority area for Arsenal.”

At present, Arsenal have a good selection in attack.

Mikel Arteta can alternate between Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah up front.

And Gabriel Martinelli can cover there too.

Martinelli, Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka are available on the flanks.

And it remains to be seen whether Marquinhos will be considered for the first team too.

However, Nicolas Pepe appears surplus to requirements at Arsenal.

Should they manage to offload him, there’s certainly scope for another senior winger to join.
