Harry Kane is looking more likely than ever to remain at Spurs this summer despite interest from Man City.

According to the Times, the England captain is set to remain in north London this window. Daniel Levy is ‘digging in’ to keep Kane with Tottenham for another season.

City are desperate to sign the Spurs attacker following the departure of Sergio Aguero earlier in the summer. However, Pep Guardiola’s side now appear to be losing the battle to sign Kane.

Indeed, there is still a chance that Spurs will sell Kane this summer to Man City. However, it will take some financial muscle from the reigning Premier League champions to achieve such a feat.

City have already signed Jack Grealish this window for a British record fee. And the Manchester giants will likely have to repeat the feat if they are to sign Kane this summer.

But with Levy doing his best to retain his star player, there is a strong chance that Kane will now remain at Spurs this summer rather than move to Man City.

And for some Tottenham fans on social media, they were not pleased with this update despite Kane’s importance to the club in recent years.

Levy retaining Kane at Spurs means that the club will lose out on a huge chunk of incoming money. And with the striker inevitably going to leave one day, fans believe it would be best if the attacker left this window.

Here’s what some Spurs fans had to say about the club’s decision on Man City target Kane on Twitter…
