Rangers are said to be interested in Chelsea defender Tomas Kalas this summer. The Scottish Sun reported that Rangers were keen on the Czech Republic international. Celtic were also mentioned with talk of a £5 million price-tag.
Kalas has been a serial loanee during his time at Stamford Bridge. The 26-year-old has played for Vitesse, FC Koln, Middlesbrough, Fulham and, most recently, Bristol City.
The latter are trying to sign him permanently and his future has been in the news again this week. Bristol Live report Kalas is likely to make a decision on his future after international duty with the Czech Republic.

Rangers will, therefore, need to be in the mix over the coming weeks if they are to bring Kalas to Ibrox.
Kalas has never truly made an impression for Chelsea. However, the one time he did probably still haunts Ibrox boss Steven Gerrard.
The Czech was pulled in from the cold when a depleted Chelsea side headed to Anfield in April 2014. At the time, Liverpool were in the driving seat to win the Premier League title and fans expected Luis Suarez to rip the defender to shreds. But Kalas put in a sensational performance against the Uruguayan as Chelsea won 2-0 and dented Liverpool’s hopes.
The game is remembered more widely for Gerrard’s slip that allowed Demba Ba to score the opener.
If the Rangers boss does eventually get his £5 million target this summer, you can bet he will want no mention of that day from his new recruit.
