Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has revealed there has been only one official bid for striker Alfredo Morelos since he took the job in May 2018.
The Colombian striker is seldom out of the news these days, with his form having led to speculation he will leave this summer.
The player himself has hinted at a departure from Ibrox (via The Scottish Sun), and a number of Rangers fans are realistic about the situation.
Many are actually open to his sale this summer, with the player having been sent off five times in 2018/19.
Over the past year there have been links to the likes of Nice, Bordeaux, Borussia Dortmund and Real Betis, but Light Blues boss Gerrard claims only one bid has been lodged whilst he’s be incharge.
Choosing not to name the side who bid, he said (quoted by The Daily Record): “He is on a four-year contract. We have had one bid for Alfredo since I’ve been Rangers manager and it was for three million euros [£2.6 million].
“Would you expect to see him in the summer if you were me?”
It is somewhat surprising to learn that only one bid has come in for Morelos in the space of the past year.
The 22-year-old notched his 30th goal of the season in the final game against Kilmarnock and is arguably the best striker in Scotland.
It would suggest that clubs really do have their reservations about Morelos, whose fiery temperament has constantly been his achilles heel.
Rangers have previously slapped a £20 million asking price on their prized asset but the club will do well to get anywhere close to that figure.
