Rangers won out at Lech last night and Steven Gerrard was full of praise for young attacker, Cedric Itten, who bagged on the night.
Itten has been a bit of a squad player this season but has featured regularly off the bench. However, he has just a handful of games to his name and, at times, has cut a frustrated figure.

However, the 23-year-old Swiss international looked in fine form last night and speaking after the game, Gerrard was delighted with the contribution and effort he saw from Itten.
“I think his (Itten) confidence is fine, I think he’s in a good place so unless you’ve noticed something I haven’t he’s been an absolute pleasure to work with, he works his socks off,” Gerrard said. (Glasgow Live)
“His performance epitomised what we were about as a team tonight which was aggressive and controlled out of possession, the amount of regains and the amount of running he did for the team was fantastic. He thoroughly deserved his goal and I hope he gets man of the match because it would be deserved.”
Itten will be hoping to push on when it comes to SFPL action now and try and put more pressure on the likes of Alfredo Morelos.

But with Rangers flying across the board, having Itten playing like he is tonight – regardless of when he’s needed – is a massive boost for the Gers.
A fine night all around for Itten and Rangers – TBR View
All Cedric Itten can do when he gets his chance is take it as best he can and he certainly gave it a good go last night.
Energy, teamwork, and a goal to cap it off, Itten did little wrong and Gerrard was rightly impressed. A good night all around for Rangers in the end…again!
