Rangers manager Steven Gerrard detailed what was said in his team’s dressing room after a shock defeat at home to Hamilton on Wednesday night.
The Gers were beaten 1-0 at Ibrox by a Hamilton side fighting against relegation, with David Moyo scoring a second-half winner for the visitors to lift them off the bottom of the Scottish Premiership table.
Gerrard’s side are now 13 points adrift of leaders Celtic in second and the title bid looks in tatters.
Despite progressing to the last 16 of the Europa League since the return from the winter break, the Light Blues have seen their domestic form go drastically downhill.
They have just four wins in their nine league games in 2020, as well as being knocked out of the Scottish Cup in the quarter-finals by Hearts.
“We’ve spoke to them and the dressing room is very quiet. We had a discussion, I’m asking questions, asking for reasons why we’ve played ourselves into this rut and why confidence is so low because we’ve got real good players in the dressing room,” Gerrard said, as quoted by the club’s official Twitter account.
These don’t look like the group of players that were doing ever so well a short time ago, so we all have to stick together and roll on and try play our way out of it.

TBR’s View:
Rangers hit a new low in their season with a home loss against Hamilton on Wednesday night and it’s a result that shows where their confidence as a group is right now.
The cup exit at the hands of Hearts was a significant blow, but losing to a team fighting the drop in the league is a serious worry.
They simply aren’t converting their chances when they go forward and they seriously need to sharpen up their ideas quickly, as in eight days time they face an extremely impressive Leverkusen team.
