Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has told The Scottish Sun that he’d like Alfredo Morelos to state his desire to stay at Ibrox.
The Teddy Bears hotshot has been the subject of vast interest from elsewhere this summer. AC Milan, Frankfurt, Crystal Palace and Newcastle have all been linked.
After scoring 30 goals in all competitions last season, it is little surprise the Colombian has several admirers.
Gerrard wants to keep the man who is contracted at Rangers until 2023, urging his star man to make a public pledge.

He told The Scottish Sun: “Alfredo is a huge part of what we are trying to do here.
“Instead of me answering this question every single press conference, I’m going to do everything I can to put Alfredo in front of you guys.
“Then you can ask him the question of whether he wants to be part of this going forward.
“I can only say I want him to be a part of it. The decision lands with Alfredo.”
TBR Verdict
It sounds as though Gerrard is fed up with having to answer the same question each time he faces the media.
Morelos is a humungous part of what Rangers are trying to achieve and their chances of winning the title are higher with him in the team.

The squad in place at Ibrox is exceptionally talented ahead of this season but the Colombian is still an integral player.
Gerrard has a point too.
If Morelos was to come out and nip the speculation surrounding his future in the bud, it would make life a lot easier for the boss.
He is a popular figure among the Rangers supporters and they will be desperately hoping he stays at the club next season.
