Steve Parish makes Marc Guehi transfer admission amid Newcastle, Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal links

Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Arsenal are just four of the Premier League clubs that have been linked with Marc Guehi in recent months.

Eddie Howe’s Magpies and Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs are both said to be keen on bringing in defensive reinforcements as they look to improve this coming season.

Arne Slot’s Reds are also reportedly looking for a new centre-back after Joel Matip left Anfield on a free transfer at the end of last season.

Arsenal were linked with Guehi earlier this summer, though it remains to be seen whether their interest remains after having signed Riccardo Calafiori.

Newcastle are said to be keen on Guehi, while Alasdair Gold said in June that Spurs really like the Palace ace, and Danny Murphy has backed Liverpool to move for the defender.

Now, Palace chairman Steve Parish has made an admission regarding the state of play involving Guehi this summer.

Steve Parish says nobody has reached Marc Guehi valuation yet

Parish, speaking to Sky Sports in quotes relayed by Fabrizio Romano, revealed that nobody has reached the Eagles’ valuation on Guehi yet.

The Palace director also described the reported Newcastle, Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal target as a “superstar player” and a “generational talent”.

And with Guehi being such a top talent, clubs will “need to pay superstar money” for his signature, added Parish.

Clubs will need to go all out for Guehi

It was previously reported, as per Newcastle World, that the Magpies had made a bid for Guehi worth £55million plus £5million in add-ons.

Now, based on Parish’s comments, it would seem that this £60million package still falls well short of Palace’s valuation of the player.

The England international would certainly be a great addition for any of Newcastle, Tottenham, Liverpool or Arsenal.

However, it remains to be seen how far they are willing to push the boat out for his signature.
