Liverpool legend Steve Nicol has expressed his concern about the Reds’ high line tactic ahead of the first Merseyside Derby of the season.
The international break is now in full flow, with the Premier League to resume on October 17.

Everton vs Liverpool at Goodison Park is the first game back and promises to be a cracking match, with Everton seemingly a different animal this season.
One man who has contributed massively to the turnaround is James Rodriguez, who has produced three goals and three assists in his five games so far.
The Colombian superstar has quickly established himself as a fan favourite, and his technical quality is clear for all to see.
Previewing the Merseyside Derby, Nicol acknowledged Rodriguez’s threat.

Asked if he is worried for Liverpool, he said on ESPN FC: “Absolutely yes. Regardless of who the next opposition was going to be, I am questioning the backline.
“The fact that it is Everton and James, and the fact that if Liverpool decide to keep playing this ridiculous high line, if there was one man who can stick the ball in behind with accuracy, it is James.”
TBR’s View – Liverpool must be extremely careful
Liverpool will not want to be playing in-form Everton next following the shock 7-2 demolition against Aston Villa.
It’s going to be very interesting to see if Klopp sticks with the high line or instructs his team to drop a little deeper.
Rodriguez has clearly demonstrated an amazing eye for a killer pass, and so there is definite potential for him to cause the Reds some serious damage.
