Liverpool icon Steve McManaman has said he feels Reds forward Mohamed Salah was below-par at Brighton.
The Reds made it eight consecutive Premier League wins as they ran out 2-0 winners on the south coast.
Luis Diaz continued his amazing run of form since joining Liverpool by opening the scoring on 19 minutes.

On the hour mark, an Yves Bissouma handball prompted referee Mike Dean to award the Anfield outfit a penalty.
Salah duly converted from the spot, burying his effort down the middle to double Liverpool’s advantage.
The Egypt international’s spot-kick was his 20th Premier League goal of the season.
However, while Salah wasn’t bad by any means, he didn’t reach his usual heady heights.
In the first half, Robert Sanchez kept out his effort following a swift counter-attack.
After the break, he dragged one shot wide and he also struck the bar.
Not long after scoring his penalty, Salah suffered a knock and Jurgen Klopp took him off on 65 minutes.
Speaking after the game on BT Sport 1, McManaman gave his opinion on the 29-year-old’s display.
“Funnily enough,” he said (12/3/22, 14:58pm).
“I don’t think he has been playing that well of late since he has come back from Africa Cup of Nations by his lofty standards.
“I don’t think he was great today necessarily.”
Salah needs a rest – TBR View
Salah has been absolutely sensational this season, but he has also played a really high amount of games for club and country.
He has clocked up 35 appearances for Liverpool and 12 for Egypt in 2021-22.

In addition, all four of the Pharaohs’ knockout games at the Africa Cup of Nations went to extra time, and three went to penalties.
And Salah played every minute of their campaign.
It’s amazing that he’s still putting in 7/10 performances at this stage, considering the workload he’s had.
Although the stakes are high for Liverpool between now and the rest of the season, some rest might do him good.
Luckily, Jurgen Klopp has incredible strength in depth up front so the Reds could probably manage.
