Celtic youngster Scott Robertson is set to join English League One side, Gillingham, on loan today following his new deal at Parkhead, according to the Scottish Sun.
The teenager reportedly went through a medical in London yesterday ahead of joining the Kent side.
Gills boss Steve Evans is clearly excited about the move, with the player set to go straight into his squad for this weekend’s League One opener against Hull City.
“I’m delighted to be bringing Scott to Gillingham,” Evans explained to SunSport. “I know he’s well thought of at Celtic and Neil sees this as a great opportunity for the boy.
“I’m grateful he’s agreed to give us Scott for the season and we’ll do everything possible to help him develop even more as a player.”

The 19-year-old was handed a new deal by Celtic at the end of last month, agreeing a three-year contract to remain at Parkhead.
The Bhoys are clearly hopeful that the teenager can eventually develop into a first-team regular, but for now his best bet is to play some football elsewhere to gain some serious first-team experience.
Roberton made his Celtic debut in December in a Europa League tie against CFR Cluj and has been a regular in first-team training with Neil Lennon’s men.
Now, the hope is he will get plenty of football at Gillingham under the guidance of a fellow Scot and self-confessed Celtic fan Evans.
If so, then this could be the first step toward developing a top player for years to come in Paradise.
