Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce has praised the form of goalkeeper Freddie Woodman, who is spending the current season out on loan in the Championship with Swansea City.
The 23-year-old was loaned out by the Magpies for another campaign and he dropped down into the second-tier to continue his development.
He’s kept an eye-catching 11 clean sheets in 37 league games so far for a Swansea team sat 11th in the Championship, but they are just three points adrift of the play-off positions.
Woodman previously helped England win the Under-20s World Cup a few years ago and is a highly-rated goalkeeper with a big future.
The shot-stopper is someone with great reflexes, as well as being someone that can play out from the back comfortably too.
Newcastle boss Bruce has given him a special mention for his form out on loan.
“The kid at Swansea – who we’re monitoring – is doing very, very well,” Bruce said, as quoted by the Shields Gazette.

TBR’s View – Does Woodman have Newcastle future next season?
Newcastle’s number one position locks locked down as long as Martin Dubravka is at the club, as he’s a top goalkeeper that has been a consistent performer during his time at St James’ Park.
Karl Darlow has taken the reigns as his understudy in recent times, but there could be a strong suggestion to make that Woodman may be a better goalkeeper.
It’s unclear on where Woodman will be next season, but the rising talent shouldn’t be stuck on the sidelines and perhaps another loan spell would be best for him.
