Brentford have announced that Moses Odubajo will be leaving the club on a free transfer this summer. The full-back only returned to Griffin Park last summer after a horrific two-year battle with injury trouble.

He played 34 times for the Bees this term but the club and player have mutually decided not to activate his renewal option.

The player himself even thanked the club and fans on Twitter, with his exit now impending.

Teams across the Championship will surely be looking at Odubajo as a potential option. One club that should definitely look into bringing Odubajo in are Sheffield Wednesday.

Steve Bruce has a special relationship with the versatile defender.

Bruce is a massive fan of the defender. He signed him from Brentford when at Hull and played him in nearly every game of their Championship promotion campaign.

Sheffield Wednesday need new recruits and ones that cost nothing would be perfect considering the current financial situation at Hillsborough.

Odubajo is a trusted servant of Bruce, available for nothing and knows what it takes to get promoted from the Championship.

Sheffield Wednesday should certainly look into a deal.
