Stephen Warnock hailed Liverpool’s Diogo Jota for his individual display in the midweek victory over RB Leipzig.
The Reds secured a much-needed win by beating German opposition Leipzig 2-0 in the Champions League.
It means that Jurgen Klopp’s side beat Leipzig 4-0 on aggregate over the two legs in Bucharest and they’ve now qualified for the quarter-finals of the competition.
Despite the fact they’ve hit shocking domestic form recently with six defeats from seven in the league, Liverpool looked much more like their old selves on Wednesday night.
It was the usual suspects Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane who were both on the scoresheet when they scored quick-fire goals in the second half.
Ex-Reds defender Warnock singled out Jota for his contribution against Leipzig.
“Diogo Jota brings a different dynamic to the front three – he an ever-willing runner, and the way he presses. The other two bounce off him, they are on the same wavelength, and they press with him,” Warnock told BBC Radio 5 Live.

TBR’s View:
If there were two main positives from Liverpool’s victory, it has to be the fact that both Jota and Fabinho impressed in the starting XI.
Jota proved before his injury that he can be a real asset for the Merseyside club and he looked bright in the final third against Leipzig alongside Salah and Mane.
24-year-old Jota did a great job in the Liverpool side operating as the central figure, which included a lovely flicked pass to assist Salah’s opening goal.
