Tottenham winger Erik Lamela has been ruled out of the club’s game against West Ham with a hamstring problem – and some of the club’s supporters ripped into him for yet another injury setback.
Spurs have confirmed (official Twitter) that the 27-year-old is unavailable on Saturday afternoon for the Premier League clash at home to London rivals West Ham.
Lamela has a dreadful track record when it comes to injury problems and he’s made just 31 appearances across all competitions this season.
The Argentina international hasn’t featured in any game since early March, despite featuring on the bench against Manchester City in the second leg of a Champions League quarter-final.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino has given an indication that the attacker’s latest problem may be serious.
“We feel very sad about his (Lamela) situation today. We hope he can be available before the end of the season,” Pochettino said, as quoted by Football.London.

Spurs are going to have to soldier on with what they have against West Ham, but it’s natural that one eye will be on the first leg of the Champions League semi-final with Ajax just three days later.
A selection of supporters are gobsmacked by another problem to Lamela, with some feeling that offloading him in the summer may be the best action.
He still has a contract until 2022 and the left-footed winger can be a real threat on his day, but his regular problems are an issue.
