A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to laud Gunners physio Bruno Mazziotti in wake of the club’s latest fitness update.

The 43-year-old has garnered a bit of a cult following amongst Arsenal fans in recent weeks for the great work he’s done in helping players return to fitness.

Mazziotti joined Arsenal last year from Paris Saint-Germain, filling the gap created by Chris Morgan’s move to Liverpool.

As reported by The Athletic‘s David Ornstein, Mazziotti has a tight bond with Arsenal’s technical director Edu, having worked together at Corinthians and the Brazil national team.

He has also been employed by Real Madrid, AC Milan and Shandong Luneng in China, as well as the Iran national team for the 2014 World Cup.

Mazziotti is said to be highly rated by the likes of Neymar – who he helped return to fitness in time for the 2018 World Cup – Ronaldo, Thiago Silva and Alexandre Pato.

Ahead of Arsenal’s Europa League semi-final first leg against Villarreal, Mikel Arteta was able to confirm a clean bill of health.

They are all in contention,” said the Spaniard. “All of them. Including Aubameyang, Laca and Kieran. They are all in contention for the game. Yes [it is good news].”

Needless to say, having everyone back for such a crucial game has led to celebrations amongst the Arsenal fanbase on Twitter, and plenty were eager to pay tribute to the man who’s helped make it happen.
