A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to praise Gabriel Martinelli’s latest efforts in training ahead of the Gunners’ big Premier League clash on Saturday.

Mikel Arteta’s charges host Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium in the latest chapter in one of English football’s greatest rivalries.

Both teams are on the up, with Arsenal looking much improved compared to the first half of the season, and the Red Devils second in the Premier League table.

The Gunners go into the crunch clash on the back of a superb 3-1 victory at Southampton, while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s charges were left reeling by a defeat to Sheffield United.

Martinelli was an unused substitute for the game at St Mary’s, with Arteta opting for Nicolas Pepe, Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka behind lone striker Alexandre Lacazette.

However, the 19-year-old will surely be in contention for game time against United, and on Friday, the club’s Twitter feed shared a link of a goal he scored in training, the video accessible on the social media platform.
