Stan Collymore has suggested that he would drive one Liverpool player to his next club if the Reds receive a bid of £50 million for him during the summer transfer window.
Liverpool are likely to have a fair few changes on the way, with Arne Slot set to replace Jurgen Klopp in charge of the Reds. And it would be no surprise if they were involved in a couple of interesting transfers over the coming months.
Few would have expected Jordan Henderson to leave last summer, while Liverpool have not been afraid to let other big players go if the right offers come in.
One current star being linked with a move away from Liverpool is Luis Diaz, with Barcelona keen on signing the Colombian.
Stan Collymore suggests Liverpool should take £50 million for Luis Diaz
Barcelona sporting director Deco is reportedly a huge fan of Diaz, who has scored 24 goals in 98 games in all competitions for the Reds.
Diaz has produced some incredible performances for Liverpool. But speaking to Caught Offside, Stan Collymore believes that the Reds should not be afraid to cash in on the 27-year-old due to his inconsistency.

“Diaz is an odd one because of his injuries, the situation with his father’s kidnap which was obviously very traumatic during the season… at times he looks world class but at others he struggles to get a foothold in the game,” he said.
“It really does depend on whether Barcelona are prepared to pay £50m-£60m for him, in which case I’ll drive him to Barcelona. If it wasn’t a derisory offer and they offered a player in return aswell, for the new manager it might simply depend on what kind of player that they’re offering.”
Why Arne Slot may hope Reds don’t make hasty decision on forward’s future
Much may change if Liverpool do receive a big bid for Diaz this summer, but their supporters may be hoping that he sticks around.
Ultimately, it is too soon to say who is going to thrive under Arne Slot, and there may be one or two big surprises on that front.
Diaz has not been reliable enough during his time at Anfield, but he clearly has the potential to be a devastating attacking option for the Reds if everything clicks.
If Slot is the man to unlock that potential, Liverpool could have an unbelievable player on their hands – suddenly making £60 million the absolute minimum the club should consider before even opening talks over a potential sale.
