Stan Collymore believes that Bournemouth forward Joshua King has “every attribute”, amid reported interest from his former club Aston Villa.
According to the Telegraph, Villa have submitted a £16million bid for the Norway international after missing out on his Bournemouth teammate Callum Wilson.
The report explains that Dean Smith’s side are making an offer for the 28-year-old to try bring him to Villa Park and he’s quoted as being available around the £16million mark this summer.
King is currently preparing for life in the Championship following Bournemouth’s relegation from the top-flight last season, but could make an immediate Premier League return.
The £45,000-a-week striker scored six goals and managed four assists during an injury-hit season last year, but has proven himself to be a consistent performer at the top level.
Collymore has given his verdict on the Villa-linked player and explained he would certainly sign him for £16million.
“Watched a lot of him since he was virtually unplayable against United at Bournemouth a few years back,” Collymore wrote on his personal Twitter account.
“Lad has every attribute, but not sure he realises how to use his physical presence to dominate opponents, even in a less physical sport these days. For £16m, take him all day.

TBR’s View:
Villa quite clearly need a frontman through the door ahead of the new season and Bournemouth’s King could be a great piece of business for under £20million.
He’s played 161 Premier League games in his career, scoring 48 times and supplying 15 assists.
The attacker is a powerful presence that leads the line well, but can also play in a number 10 role or he can cut inside from the left wing.
