Stan Collymore has admitted he’s impressed with Tottenham’s reported transfer targets this summer Ryan Sessegnon and Giovani Lo Celso.
According to the Independent, Spurs are expected to secure a £25million deal for Fulham winger Sessegnon on Thursday’s deadline day.
It is understood that Mauricio Pochettino’s side have been in talks about the 19-year-old this summer and a deal has finally been agreed.
The report also details that Spurs have been chasing midfielder Lo Celso from Spanish club Real Betis and that he’s valued around £65million.
It’s believed that Spurs previously failed with a £50million offer earlier this summer, but have now submitted an improved bid for the 23-year-old.
Collymore believes that the two young Spurs targets are perfect for Mauricio Pochettino’s side and would be an ideal fit.
“Lo Celso and Sessegnon. More like players I’d like to see at Spurs. Will be eager to learn, adaptable, mouldable, won’t rock the boat with demands,” Collymore wrote on his personal Twitter account.
“Absolutely two signings that are getting me excited. Just more good identification from Spurs. This club is doing it for me.”
Spurs fans are in for one brilliant deadline day if deals for Sessegnon and Lo Celso are wrapped up, as both have been heavily speculated about this summer.
Sessegnon is an exciting English talent that could develop immensely under Pochettino and is a left-footed winger with plenty of skill and pace.
He has the potential to grow into a future star and should look to follow in the footsteps of Dele Alli.
Meanwhile, Argentine Lo Celso was in excellent form for Betis last season and scored 16 goals across all competitions from midfield.
He would be another creative force in the Spurs midfield, but it looks like there is still work to be done if the North London club want to sign him.
