Tottenham Hotspur have been urged by Jamie O’Hara to consider approaching Scott Parker for the manager’s job at Spurs.
The north Londoners continue to search for a new head coach in wake of Jose Mourinho’s sacking last month.
A number of names have been linked with the job, from veteran managers such as Rafael Benitez to younger coaches like Graham Potter.
Parker is currently at the helm of Fulham, who he steered to Premier League promotion last season via the Championship playoffs.

Although the 40-year-old looks unlikely to keep the Cottagers up, O’Hara is pleased with what he’s seen so far from the former Spurs midfielder and academy coach.
“Rafa Benitez is being linked now, but I honestly would rather Scott Parker as manager,” O’Hara told talkSPORT.
“He’s young, he’s hungry, he’s got a forward-thinking attacking style and philosophy of how he wants to play, he knows what the club is about and he’ll know some of the young players.
“That’s the way we need to go. I don’t think getting Rafa Benitez… it would only be for his name.”
TBR View:
While Parker certainly ticks some boxes for Tottenham, including knowledge of the club and an attacking style of play, his lack of experience and likelihood of getting relegated could count against him.
A young coach in the Mauricio Pochettino mould would be great, but it’s worth remembering he had five years of first-team managerial experience when he joined Spurs, while Parker has just two.
With that in mind, someone like Potter – young, forward-thinking, 10 years of experience and got teams punching above their weight – would probably be the best shout.
