'One of my fav': Spurs fans react to links with goalkeeper who thwarted Ronaldo last season

Spurs fans have been giving their thoughts on speculation linking Tottenham with Pierluigi Gollini.

According to Calciomercato, Spurs are eyeing the Atalanta goalkeeper along with several other clubs.

Tottenham are apparently in the race along with fellow Premier League side Everton, plus Inter, Milan, Roma and Lazio.

Atalanta have signed Juan Musso, which has led to questions being asked about Gollini’s future.

Knows English football well

Gollini has experience in English football, having spent time at Manchester United’s academy and also playing for Aston Villa.

The 6ft 4in stopper’s senior breakthrough came for Hellas Verona, who he joined from the Red Devils in 2014.

Gollini then moved to Villa in 2016 but struggled at B6 and went out on loan to Atalanta the following year.

He shone for the Bergamo outfit and promptly joined permanently in 2018, making 112 appearances to date.

In December last year, Gollini earned plaudits after saving a Cristiano Ronaldo penalty, which earned Atalanta a 1-1 draw in Turin.
