Spurs transfer news: Report claims Juventus want Tottenham star
Of course, Kane’s future looks set to be a key talking point throughout the summer. He has reportedly informed Daniel Levy that he would like to leave.
He has been linked with a host of clubs. Manchester City and Chelsea have reportedly contacted his representatives.
But perhaps a new contender may have entered the race. According to Calciomercato. It, Juve are keeping track of the 27-year-old.
Kane would reportedly prefer to stay in the Premier League. However, Calciomercato does note that his £200,000-a-week salary would not necessarily be beyond the Old Lady.
The report adds that Levy wants £130 million for the Tottenham talisman.
Hard to see Kane leaving Spurs for Italy in transfer window as news of Juventus interest emerges
There are potential doubts over Cristiano Ronaldo’s future in Turin, according to Calciomercato.
And Massimiliano Allegri reportedly wants a new striker. So you can understand why Kane may have been discussed.
Having said that, it is really difficult to envisage Kane moving to Juve this summer.
As the report notes, he would prefer to stay in England. Juventus would also have to smash their transfer record to land the Englishman.
It is unwise to rule anything out during the transfer window. But they must surely be deemed outsiders in the current race.
Spurs remain in a reasonably strong position to keep Kane. His deal does not expire until 2024.
Levy is only going to be too happy to hold onto the striker if a club is not prepared to meet his asking price . His value is unlikely to drop anytime soon.
Kane is surely too professional to consider downing tools. So it is hard to imagine him doing much more to try and make a move happen.
If Juventus want him, they are going to have to make an incredible bid.
