Spurs transfer news: Real Madrid reportedly confident of Isco sale

Spurs have received a potential boost in their reported pursuit of Isco, with Spanish outlet Defensa Central reporting that Real Madrid are confident that they will sell the midfielder in summer transfer window.

The 29-year-old seems to have been linked with a potential Premier League move in almost every window since he arrived at the Bernabeu.

And this summer has proved to be no different. According to the Daily Mirror earlier this month (6/6; page 77), Spurs are looking to pay £14 million for the midfielder.

The report added that Tottenham were prepared to offer Isco a three-year deal. However, it was claimed that there was an issue.

But with Zidane gone and Carlo Ancelotti through the door, it seemed that Isco’s stance may chance. Ancelotti was the manager who brought him to Los Blancos in the first place.

However, it now appears that Ancelotti’s arrival has changed little.

According to Defensa Central, Madrid are very keen to move Isco on for the final year of his contract. It seems that they are willing to cut a very good deal.

And while they suggest that Madrid have had no bids so far, they reportedly remain confident that the offers will come in.

Spurs fans may hope club do not get tempted to make bid in transfer window

Isco is clearly a major talent. However, it could be argued that he never seemed to realise his full potential at Madrid.

And given his age, it looks unlikely that he will get too much better.

Having said that, if Madrid are open to a cut-price deal, perhaps Tottenham should consider asking the question.

A lot of changes need to take place in North London this summer. So perhaps there may be reason to pursue a move for the midfielder.
