Spurs are set for an important few months and the summer could be massive for the club, especially given Jose Mourinho’s future is still up for debate.
For now, it seems the club will stick with Mourinho. Spurs have a chance of lifting the League Cup in just a few weeks and could well end their barren trophy-less spell.
Of course, the top four is always going to be the marker on which Mourinho is judged on. In fairness to the Spurs boss, his team are only three points off Chelsea in fourth, although their Europa League exit has blocked one route into the Champions League for next term.

The summer, then, could be a huge one for the club. Daniel Levy backed Mourinho last year and he could well choose to do so again, with the Spurs boss bound to have a few targets in mind.
And one player who might be of interest to Mourinho once more is Juventus defender, Alex Sandro. Football Italia claims that the Turin giants are open to selling the left-back, and he’s a player the Spurs boss has courted previously.
Mourinho likes Sandro already, he’d be a smart signing
Tuttomercatoweb reported only last summer that Mourinho was keen on Sandro to replace Danny Rose. Of course, since then, the club have signed Sergio Reguilon, although questions are already being raised about his long-term future in north London.
Interestingly, Sandro is someone Mourinho has tracked for a while. The MEN reported in 2018 that Mourinho wanted Sandro at Manchester United, before a £50m asking price scuppered any deal.

It goes without saying, then, that Sandro is a player Mourinho likes. And at Spurs, he could slot in nicely. Yes, Reguilon is the number one choice at the moment but Ben Davies has struggled at times, albeit he has had to fill in at centre-back at times.
Sandro, now 30, is a proven commodity at international level and in the European game. He’s won the Scudetto five times, won the Copa America, and has over 400 career appearances to his name.
In terms of players on the market who can improve Spurs and are affordable, Sandro is very much someone the club should look at.
