Spurs set to miss out on Moutinho
Tottenham Hotspur look set to miss out on long-term transfer target Joao Moutinho, who is attracting the attention of Paris Saint Germain.
The Portuguese international is reportedly not interested in signing with Spurs as he is keen to play Champions League football, according to reports from The Metro.
This has alerted PSG who are rumoured to be preparing a £30m move for the Porto star. Zenit St Petersburg are also believed to be interested but with the French club willing to offer the midfielder weekly wages of £145,000 a deal could be concluded in January.
Tottenham were on the brink of signing the playmaker during the last transfer window when a £22m deal fell through as personal terms could not be agreed in time for the deadline.
Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas, however, is still believed to still be interested in the player he coached during his successful spell with the Portuguese champions – although any deal now looks unlikely.
It is believed that the North Londoners will instead turn their attention to Shakhtar Donetsk’s Willian who impressed against Chelsea in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.
