Spurs set sights on £31k-a-week attacker once deemed 'the most complete player' - report

Spurs have set their sights on Parma attacker Dennis Man, according to Romanian outlet

Tottenham have been linked with numerous players from Italy over the past few months.

With new Spurs director Fabio Paratici having extensive knowledge of Italian football, this isn’t a surprise.

Tottenham are reportedly still looking to bolster their attacking ranks ahead of transfer deadline day.

And according to, Paratici is now looking at Man, whose club is now in Serie B.

Spurs are “interested in the Romanian, especially if Harry Kane moves to Manchester City”, claims the outlet.

Man’s Parma contract, reportedly worth £31,000-a-week, runs until the summer of 2025.

Spurs target player who’s close to “the full package”?

Man only joined Parma in January last year, moving from FCSB in a reported £11.7million deal.

The 22-year-old registered two goals and one assist from 14 Serie A games.

Prior to his arrival, Man registered an impressive 17 goals and seven assists from 20 FCSB games in 2020-21.

The versatile attacker is very highly rated in his native Romania.

Mirel Radoi, his former national Under-21 coach, claimed in 2018 that Man was “the most complete footballer” out of the nation’s youngsters.

His “technical ability, pace, physical power, work rate, mental toughness” brought him the closest to being “the full package”, Radoi told Digisport.

Man might be somewhat unknown to fans on these shores but he might not be a bad shout for Spurs.

He had a great record at FCSB, he’s not done badly in Italy and he’s just 22 years old.

And although his Parma contract runs until 2025, they’re in Serie B, meaning they could potentially look to cash in on him.

Likewise, a step up to the Premier League – not to mentional a potential big rise in wages – could perhaps tempt Man.
