Tottenham Hotspur are ready to meet Franck Kessie’s wage demands, according to Milan Live.

The 24-year-old has reportedly been on the Spurs radar for a while now.

But with Kessie’s contract expiring next summer, there’s bound to be a lot of clubs after him.

Tottenham could certainly do with bolstering their midfield ranks next year, and Kessie would be a great shout.

However, Spurs will reportedly be up against Mauricio Pochettino’s PSG in the race to sign him.

According to Milan Live, Kessie is looking for a salary of €10million a year (around £8.5million a year).

This works out as just over £163,000-a-week, which would make him Tottenham’s third highest-paid player.

Son Heung-min is reportedly on £140,000-a-week, while Harry Kane and Tanguy Ndombele are on £200,000-a-week.

And both Tottenham and PSG are reportedly ready to meet Kessie’s wage demands.

Meanwhile, Milan are reportedly unwilling to go above €6million a year (around £5million a year).

Can Spurs land “devastating” midfielder ahead of Poch?

Kessie has been superb for Milan since joining from Atalanta in 2019 for a reported £21.6million.

The £74,000-a-week ace has clocked up 203 appearances for the Rossoneri and registered 33 goals and 16 assists.

Gennaro Gattuso, a top midfield enforcer in his playing days, is a big fan of the Ivorian.

“Kessie is clearly stronger than me when I was a player,” Forza Italian Football quoted him as saying in 2018.

“He has seven or eight goals per season in him.”

And Vincenzo Montella, who previously managed Milan, described Kessie as “extraordinary” in 2017.

“He (Kessie) is an extraordinary player, (boasts) sublime intelligence,” Montella told Goal.com.
