Spurs predicted XI v Palace: Jose Mourinho reinstates £4m ace, no room for 24-year-old

Tottenham Hotspur will see out their Premier League season with a trip to Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Jose Mourinho’s charges have won their last three games in a row to remain in contention for a top-six finish.

However, they will need to beat the Eagles and hope that Wolves drop points against Chelsea to achieve this.

Spurs are guaranteed to finish seventh at least, which would claim a Europa League place – providing Frank Lampard’s charges beat Arsenal to win the FA Cup.

There most likely won’t be any letting up by Mourinho against Palace, so a strong XI should be named, with Spurs boosted by a number of returning key players.

Hugo Lloris is all-but assured of his place in between the sticks, while £4million ace Eric Dier, back from suspension, could be partnered with Toby Alderweireld at centre-back.

Ben Davies is likely to keep his place on the left of defence, and likewise with first-choice right-back Serge Aurier on the other side.

Although Dele Alli is back too, there may not be any room for the 24-year-old in the XI, with the midfield trio of Moussa Sissoko, Harry Winks and Giovani Lo Celso clicking so well.

Likewise, the attacking trio of Lucas Moura, Harry Kane and Son Heung-min were rampant against Leicester, so there’s no reason for any of those to come out of the XI.

Gameweek 38: Fantasy football view

If you are relying on this week to clinch your fantasy football league or spring a late surprise, look no further than Harry Kane.

The Spurs talisman took a little while to find his feet after the resumption of English football but is now back to his best, with four goals in his last two games.

Although Palace’s defence isn’t awful – their 49 conceded is the lowest of the bottom-half teams – they’re bound to struggle against England’s primary sharpshooter.
