Tottenham Hotspur are back in action this evening, their third game in the space of five days.
Jose Mourinho’s Spurs drew with Newcastle in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon and then overcame Chelsea on penalties on Tuesday night.
They will now host Israel’s Maccabi Haifa in North London for a spot in the Europa League group stages.
Player management has been a key issue during this run of games, and as such, there are likely to be widescale changes for the Lilywhites.
Given the importance of the game, not to mention goalkeeping being less taxing on a player than outfield, Hugo Lloris could well continue in between the sticks.
Defence is likely to see Ben Davies, Davinson Sanchez and Matt Doherty reinstated after being rested in midweek.
Japhet Tanganga, who came off with 20 minutes to go on Tuesday, could complete the back four, with Eric Dier and Toby Alderweireld benched after playing the full game last time out.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Harry Winks are likely to get the nod as the midfield duo, while Giovani Lo Celso, Dele Alli and Lucas Moura could line up in front.
Alli has been out of the first-team picture for a while but Mourinho said of the 24-year-old on Wednesday: “He trained very hard yesterday.
“He has my respect and the respect of his teammates so it’s possible he plays tomorrow.”
Harry Kane, who was rested against Chelsea, is expected to come back into the team and complete the XI.
