It will be incredibly intriguing to see what sort of lineup Jose Mourinho names for Tottenham Hotspur’s final Europa League group-stage game on Thursday.

Spurs have qualified for the knockout stages. However, only a win against Royal Antwerp will see them take top spot from the Belgian side.

You could understand why he may be tempted to field a strong side. The reverse fixture saw one of Tottenham’s most disappointing performances this season. So Mourinho will be keen to avenge that result.

There is also the chance to make sure that they are seeded for the next round. And keeping their current momentum going may also be a factor.

However, Spurs should back themselves whoever they get in the next round. So the most important thing for Mourinho’s men is surely that they do not lose any key players to injury before their next Premier League game.

So Mourinho may choose to rest a number of their star men. It would be no surprise to see the likes of Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg given the night off.

It should however, still be a strong side. The likes of Gareth Bale, Dele Alli and Lucas Moura will surely want to play.

There is a chance that some of the club’s brightest youngsters could be involved. Alfie Whiteman, Harvey White and Dane Scarlett came on in their previous home game in the competition.

Of the trio, White is perhaps the player who looks most likely to be handed a full debut. The 19-year-old may get a chance alongside Harry Winks.

But do not be surprised if players such as Jack Clarke are also in contention.

With that in mind, here is how Spurs may line up on Thursday…
