Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping to get back to winning ways when they face Liverpool on Wednesday in a clash that pits the Premier League’s top two against each other.

Jose Mourinho’s men were punished for a lacklustre performance against Crystal Palace at the weekend. Admittedly, Palace still needed an inspired display from Vicente Guaita, but few Tottenham fans could complain with the result.

It will be fascinating to see how Spurs line up at the home of the champions. There is definitely scope for Mourinho to produce another tactical masterclass that sees the visitors leave with the three points.

Wholesale changes off the back of the weekend disappointment looks unlikely. But perhaps Mourinho may swap a couple of players.

The first change may involve £32 million summer signing Sergio Reguilon (fee reported by Sky Sports). The Spaniard did not have the best day at Selhurst Park. So Ben Davies may get the nod ahead of him.

Meanwhile, Tanguy Ndombele may also be taken out of the lineup. The Frenchman is still not getting through 90 minutes, so Mourinho may be reluctant to hand him two starts in a matter of days.

He may well feature at some stage. But Giovani Lo Celso has tended to take his place in their Europa League fixtures. So perhaps he may come in on Wednesday.

With that in mind, here is how Spurs may look on Merseyside this week…
