Spurs predicted lineup vs Leeds: Ndombele and Lucas Moura start
Tottenham Hotspur travel to Elland Road looking to extend their unbeaten start to life under Ryan Mason in the Premier League.
Spurs have beaten both Southampton and Sheffield United since Jose Mourinho’s exit. But their next game pits them against a Leeds United side that have a real point to prove.
Tottenham won the previous meeting fairly comfortably. And Marcelo Bielsa’s side were incredibly poor against Brighton last time out.
Mason may be tempted to make a couple of changes from the side that brushed the Blades aside.
Tanguy Ndombele – who earns £200,000-a-week, according to Spotrac – may come in. With Leeds’s relentless energy, the Frenchman’s ability to retain possession in the middle of the park could make him a potential game-changer.
Giovani Lo Celso did not have the best game last time out. And of course, he was on the receiving end of a challenge which John Fleck seemed lucky not to be sent off for.
The other possible change may come further forward. Lucas Moura may replace Dele Alli despite Dele impressing at the weekend.
Lucas is someone who could certainly make a difference with his stamina and work-rate against a Leeds side that will not stop running. And Dele is still working his way back to full sharpness after struggling for game-time under Mourinho.
With that in mind, here is how Spurs may line up at Elland Road…
