Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly rekindled their interest in Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah ahead of the January transfer window.
A few weeks ago, Spurs had apparently pulled the plug on a move for the 24-year-old. However, a new report suggests the Lilywhites are now back in pursuit.
According to TEAMtalk, Tottenham have made contact with Chalobah‘s representatives to seek the possibility of a potential deal.
Spurs are apparently sounding out options to come in and help Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, with the latter currently injured.

Ange Postecoglou is reportedly very keen to add a centre-back to his ranks in the coming weeks in wake of recent events.
Tottenham began the season superbly, only for injuries and suspensions to deplete their ranks, which saw them lose a number of games.
Trevoh Chalobah a good shout for Tottenham but they also need someone who can hit the ground running at N17
With Van de Ven still not back in training, it’s not surprising to see Spurs rekindle their interest in Chalobah.
On the surface, he seems like a good shout for Tottenham. The £22million-rated ace is talented, young, and has extensive Premier League and Champions League experience.
Chalobah is also blessed with outstanding speed. In 2022, he told UEFA.com: “My highest would be probably 34km/h.”
By comparison, SpeedsDB has clocked Spurs full-back Ryan Sessegnon at 33.60km/h.
However, Chalobah is currently out through injury and reportedly won’t be match fit until the end of January.
And considering he hasn’t played at all this season, he’d need some time to properly back get up to speed.
As a long-term signing, Chalobah would be good for Tottenham, but they also need someone that can hit the ground running as soon as he joins in January.
