Spurs linked with 26-year-old attacking ace who Bukayo Saka says is doing 'really well' right now
Could Spurs be the next destination for Raheem Sterling?
Tottenham have been linked with the Manchester City attacker in recent weeks.
The Telegraph has reported that City could potentially look to use Sterling as a makeweight to sign Harry Kane.
Admittedly it’s all early-days speculation at present, but this is very much a transfer saga that could go on and on.
While clubs are taking care of close-season and transfer business, many of the Premier League’s top players are on international duty.
Sterling and Kane have both featured plentifully for England at Euro 2020 and can look forward to a last-16 tie with Germany.
Spurs linked with a player who helps “push” teammates
Another Three Lions player, Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, singled Sterling out for praise earlier this week.
Saka spoke after England’s victory over the Czech Republic, during which he put in a man-of-the-match display.
“This is better,” said the Gunners man. “It makes us push each other more.
“In training, you have to train hard and that always improves you.
“All competition is healthy competition and it pushes us always to make sure we give our best on the pitch, and that’s always going to be better for our country.
“As you can see, Raheem, he’s playing really well and scoring goals for us.
“That’s always going to push me to want to play well, so I can get into the team.”
