Tottenham have been linked with a swoop for Roma and England striker Tammy Abraham.
The Athletic report that super-agent Jorge Mendes has been approaching centre-forwards in Europe about switching to Spurs.
That is because there are doubts over Harry Kane’s future, with Manchester United perhaps more likely to push to sign him this summer.
Mendes is apparently searching for possible replacements in the event that Kane does move to United and has held talks over Abraham.

And Abraham, 24, has already said what a big fan of Kane he is.
Abraham told The Telegraph in November after Kane scored a hat-trick for England against Albania: “It was phenomenal.
“Everyone is so delighted for him, especially on the bench, every time he scored.
“It just shows that he’s world-class. He’s someone I really look up to and hopefully, he can get many more.”

It seems unlikely that England teammates Kane and Abraham would get to play alongside each other at Tottenham.
Spurs have long since needed a backup for Kane but Abraham is playing well and regularly at Roma; so why would he come back to England to be second choice in north London?
Abraham is also battling to be Kane’s deputy at World Cup 2022, with that position in Gareth Southgate’s squad still uncertain due to the form and fitness of the options.
Abraham was called up to the most recent squad but pulled out, with Ollie Watkins taking his chance to shine against the Ivory Coast in a 3-0 win on Tuesday night.
