Reported Tottenham Hotspur target Eduardo Camavinga appears to have left the door open to a move away as he spoke of how the “great clubs make me dream”.
Despite having just turned 18, the Rennes gem has already clocked up 52 competitive appearances for the Ligue 1 club, as well as two caps for France.
Last season, his great displays in midfield helped Rennes qualify for the Champions League for the first time in their history, finishing the curtailed Ligue 1 season in third place.

Goal’s NxGn 2020 list, which features their picks for the best young players in world football, had Camavinga at number five.
According to a March report by Spanish outlet Sport, Jose Mourinho’s Spurs, as well as Liverpool, Real Madrid and Barcelona, were keen on the teenage prodigy.
That was a while ago, but Football London went on to link Tottenham and Camavinga in October, claiming Mourinho had him in his sights ahead of the January window.
AS, meanwhile, says Zinedine Zidane’s Blancos are also eyeing Camavinga, and the Spanish outlet also featured quotes from the player in a story published on Wednesday.
When asked about Real, Camavinga responded: “The great clubs make me dream, but I cannot name one in particular for my future.”
His Rennes contract at Rennes runs until 2022 and, although talks over a new deal have not started, he also did not rule out the possibility of penning a new deal at the French club.
“We’ll see,” he said. “We haven’t set a date to discuss my future, I’m in no rush about it. There will be negotiations to keep me here.
“It would be a pleasure for me to continue at Rennes. I still have two years left on my contract and we have enough time to talk about it.”
TBR View:
Despite his young age, Camavinga has already shown he’s a cut above, and if he continues in the same manner, who knows just how much potential could be untapped and how incredible he could become in a few years’ time.
It’s not surprising that Spurs, Liverpool, Barca and Real have all been linked with Camavinga, and interestingly, he may not be as expensive as previously thought.
According to an AS report from a few months ago, Camavinga’s representative Moussa Sissoko calculated that, if his client does not renew with Rennes, he could be sold for a mere 40million Euro (around £36million) next summer.
