Liverpool could reportedly sell Harry Wilson to fund their move for Timo Werner and Spurs should be among the clubs wanting to snap the the winger up.

According to reports from the Express today, Wilson is one of a number of players Liverpool could look to sell.

Wilson has been enjoying a fine loan spell with Bournemouth this season. The 23-year-old has followed up a fine spell with Derby last season to prove himself in the Premier League.

However, with the Reds looking to bring in the likes of Werner, the Welshman could be sacrificed.

And following on from a stunning performance in November against Spurs, Jose Mourinho should be keeping close tabs on Wilson if Liverpool do indeed decide to sell.

Wilson scored twice that day as Spurs won 3-2 against the Cherries. But despite the loss for Wilson, he displayed very much what he is all about in front of Mourinho’s eyes.

Summer additions are a must

Spurs will be desperate to land new players in the summer. The injuries to the squad this season have proved that when it comes it, they just don’t quite have the depth to manage at the top level.

Therefore, adding a player like Wilson could be a shrewd move for the club. Not only would they be getting one of the most sought-after young wingers in the division, they’d also be taking him off a rivals’ hands.

Last season saw Wilson fired in 16 goals for Frank Lampard’s Rams. He also contributed an impressive four assists along the way, too.

Set-piece specialist

Wilson is also something of a dead-ball specialist. According to Transfermarkt, Wilson has knocked in an impressive seven free-kicks over the last two seasons.

That includes two impressive strikes this season, including one in front of the aforementioned Mourinho.

If Spurs ever wanted a close up view of what they could be getting, then they certainly got it in November.
