Tottenham Hotspur have a superb striker coming through the ranks who could be the next big thing – aside from Dane Scarlett and Troy Parrott.
Kion Etete only joined Spurs in 2019, linking up with the North Londoners’ academy from non-league Notts County, but he’s been making waves at Under-23s level.
The 19-year-old, who stands 6ft 5in, took a little while to get his chance this season, making cameo appearances off the bench against West Ham, Arsenal and Southampton.
Etete has been a regular starter for Tottenham’s U23s ever since, and though he failed to score in his first two starts this season, he has been prolific ever since.
He scored his first of the season in the loss to Manchester United and, to date, he has seven goals and two assists from 13 starts this term.
Etete was especially impressive in Friday’s 2-1 win over Everton U23s, opening the scoring for Wayne Burnett’s side on 16 minutes with a towering header from J’Neil Bennett’s cross.
The Derby-born forward then turned provider for Jamie Bowden’s winner, whipping in a cross for the unmarked midfielder to nod home.
Some Spurs fans loved what they saw from Etete, praising him on social media:
Next one off the production line.

That win for Tottenham Hotspur under 23’s brings the end to a run of 3 consecutive draws, it puts them 3rd in the table with 29 points, Kion Etete has now netted 3 in his last 5 games he’s been a really impressive factor in the squad this season. It’s 2 defeats in 3 for Everton.

A tall, physical striker who’s excellent in the air and a good header of the ball and is also really skilful, boasts great ball control and has a fierce shot on him, Etete has all the tools needed to become a great player.
