Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been praised by Zoran Mamic, who labelled the Spurs star a “master of football”.
Jose Mourinho’s charges took on Dinamo Zagreb in their Europa League last-16 first leg at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, running out 2-0 winners.
Kane scored a brace, tapping in on 25 minutes after Erik Lamela’s shot struck the post and capitalising on a defensive error in the 70th minute to build a commanding first-leg lead.

The 27-year-old now has 30 goals in 34 starts in major European competition and, following the game, the Dinamo coach couldn’t help but sing the England captain’s praises.
“Congratulations to Tottenham. They took the chances,” Mamic told football.london. “Harry Kane showed us once again what a master of football he is.
“We played a solid game but we could have done better in attack. Spurs played an aggressive game and won the ball back to attack.
“Tottenham attacking have really good players. They are really fast. The wingers and midfielders want the ball all the time.
“Kane showed us what a master he is. The first one was an easy one but the second one he calmed the situation and his shot was impossible to defend.”
There was concern at the end of the match as Kane came off with six minutes of normal time remaining after taking a kick to his knee.
He had an ice pack placed on it, but didn’t look overly concerned, and after the game, Mourinho believes his striker will be fine for Sunday’s North London derby.
