Ralph Hasenhuttl has become one of the latest names to have been linked with the Tottenham Hotspur job once Jose Mourinho’s tenure comes to an end.
According to The Athletic journalist Jack Pitt-Brooke, Hasenhuttl is one of the options on Spurs’ radar as a potential successor to Mourinho.

Mourinho is coming under pressure with Tottenham languishing in mid-table in the Premier League. The Daily Mail noted that no decision on the Portuguese is likely to be made before the summer.
But it does appear that Spurs are keeping their eye on potential options. And Hasenhuttl is one of those under consideration.
Obviously, Hasenhuttl’s reputation has taken a hit in recent weeks. Southampton have lost six league games in a row. But there is no question that he has done a remarkable job on the south coast.

It is easy to forget that the Saints were in the bottom three when he took over. And they have, briefly, been top of the league at one stage this term.
One member of the Tottenham squad who may back Hasenhuttl – should Mourinho go at any stage – is Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
Hojbjerg played under the Austrian for around 18 months before his move to North London. He spent the large majority of the time as his captain.
And in 2019, the Dane suggested that Southampton were delighted to have Hasenhuttl.
“I cannot compare anyone to Ralph and I cannot compare anyone to Pep,” he told Sky Sports.
“The only thing I can say is that I am very sure that, one day in the future, Ralph will coach the best teams in the world. We are all very focused on Southampton and we have a lot to achieve here yet, but I think that is definitely possible for him.”
Appointing Hasenhuttl would evoke memories of the move to land Mauricio Pochettino from the same club in 2014.
He could implement an exciting style of football. And even with Southampton struggling, there still seems to be a sense that he is leading the club in the right direction.
So if he is the man Tottenham turn to when Mourinho’s time ends, there is every reason to believe that he could be an outstanding choice.
