‘Damn’, ‘this has been a problem’: Some Tottenham fans aren’t impressed
A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have been commenting on Twitter about Spurs Under-23s’ Premier League 2 meeting with Leicester City’s U23s on Friday night (Tottenham website).
Wayne Burnett’s side took on a talented Foxes U23s outfit away at Holmes Park and took the lead through Dilan Markanday’s strike, via a deflection from Victor Johansson, in the 18th minute of the game.
However, Leicester rallied round with a quickfire two goals before half time, George Hirst equalising from the penalty spot in the 44th minute after Dennis Cirkin brought down Vontae Daley-Campbell.
In first-half injury time, Callum Wright got between the Tottenham defenders to head home Daley-Campbell’s cross and put the Foxes in the lead at the interval.
Although Spurs drew level through Jubril Okedina, who powered forward and drilled home from 20 yards just before the hour, Hirst’s quick turn and shot midway through the second half consigned the North Londoners to another defeat.
Here is what some Spurs fans were saying on social media during and after the game:
Keep going lads. Still got 45 minutes to turn it around! #COYS

Personally thought that Fagan-Walcott, Okedina, Markanday and Lyons-Foster played well.
