'What the hell', 'joke': Some Spurs fans slam 'shocking' club decision amid Son injury
A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to bemoan Fernardo Llorente’s departure from North London in wake of Spurs’ injury update on Son Heung-min.
On Tuesday, Tottenham confirmed that the South Korea international is to undergo surgery this week after sustaining a fracture to his right arm during the victory over Aston Villa.
Son scored twice against the relegation battlers but is now set for the sidelines, with the Tottenham website estimating “a number of weeks” out.
However, Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho doubts whether the 27-year-old will be back this season, as reported by BBC Sport.

With Tottenham also missing Harry Kane through injury, the team is now severely hampered in attack – Lucas Moura, Steven Bergwijn and Troy Parrott are now the only fit forwards.
In the summer, Spurs allowed Fernando Llorente – who proved a superb deputy when Kane was out – to leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on a free transfer.
With Tottenham now in the midst of a crisis up front, some fans are once again wondering why the club allowed Llorente to leave in the summer.
Here is some of the social media reaction:
What was the reason we didn’t keep Fernando Llorente again? ??♀️ https://t.co/euIVJPhc1Y

Can Llorente buy out his contract at Napoli ? And we can sign him as free agent ?

Get Llorente back

Last season Kane got injured and we didn’t address it BUT in the end we were fine because we had Llorente (even though he was prolific) and we had Son.
Son stepped up big time and ultimately we were fine.
Starting to see why this season the situation is 10x worse?

Said it before & I’ll say it again..
Not replacing Llorente in the summer was in football terms..criminal
We ran Kane into the ground again. Now Son is crocked our season is crocked! Sure it’s bad luck but you have to plan for that.
Watch some fans blame Jose now ??♂️#thfc

Savva is right. Why we are in this position year after year is beyond a joke.
Levy has been lucky year after year with average signings. To not replace Llorente (and Janssen even) and to have 1 striker in your squad is shocking

We can’t carry on like this, even tho I support Mr.Levy this has to come back to him as a failure to address the problem.
We have had this for a couple of seasons now, at least last season we had a plan B in llorente!
