Spurs fans respond to Elliot Thorpe's tweet amid exit links

A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to social media to respond to Elliot Thorpe after the linked-away youngster posted a tweet reflecting on the season and the campaign ahead.

Thorpe is one of the starlets awaiting the chance to make his first-team debut in North London. He made 18 appearances in Premier League 2 this term.

The Wales under-19 international featured in a variety of roles in midfield. And his performances has seemingly not escaped the attention of other teams.

The Telegraph reported this week that Hoffenheim want the 20-year-old. It was noted in the report that the Bundesliga side had watched him play for both his club and his country.

That would certainly hint that Hoffenheim are extremely interested in the starlet. But perhaps Spurs fans can take a little encouragement from his latest tweet.

The youngster posted a message on social media on Thursday, commenting on the campaign. Interestingly, he made sure to post Come On You Spurs hashtag after mentioning next season.

Of course, much can change over the coming months. But perhaps there is the slightest chance that that is a sign that he hopes to stay.

And if he does stick around, it seems that plenty of Tottenham fans would be delighted. Several responded to Thorpe’s tweet imploring him to go nowhere.
