A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from the Daily Mirror over the weekend suggesting that Harry Winks will be the player most likely to leave Spurs this summer if Jose Mourinho manages to sign Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
The Daily Mirror reports that Tottenham are battling Everton for the Southampton man this summer.
But with Mourinho working with a limited budget, the cost of his arrival may have to be offset by potential sales.
And the report has claimed that Winks will be the most likely player to leave should Hojbjerg move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.
The Mirror adds that Spurs value Winks at around £25-£30 million.
The news however, has not been received well by a large majority of Tottenham fans on social media. They are struggling to believe that Winks could be sold this summer just because of Hojbjerg’s arrival.
Plenty have suggested that Winks should be going nowhere. Admittedly, there are a couple of fans who have their doubts about the Englishman’s potential.
But most want him to stay and play alongside Hojbjerg, rather than leave because of the Dane’s potential move to Tottenham.
Here is how some of the supporters have reacted to the reports…
Keep winks, send Gedson back to Benfica.

Winks is English and home grown. He isn’t going anywhere.

Rather have Winks!

We won’t sell Winks, he’s homegrown, Spurs through and through and could play well alongside hojbjerg who could do all the dirty stuff allowing Winks to focus on dictating the play

Winks is a bit of a Ryan Mason imo. Decent player and Spurs through and through, but not indispensable.
