Spurs fans react to Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg interview
A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter after the club posted a superb interview with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg on social media.
Hojbjerg has taken little time to become a fan favourite in North London. It is remarkable to look back and recall how concerned many were when he struggled on his debut for the club.

The Dane has been outstanding over the past few months. And given that he is just 25, there is no reason why he cannot be an integral part of Tottenham’s side for years to come.
It certainly appears that Hojbjerg has his sights set on a long and illustrious spell with Spurs. The club posted an interview on Twitter with the midfielder on Thursday – and the fans could not be happier with what they heard from him.

As noted by the club’s official website, Hojbjerg claimed that he was driven by the knowledge that Jose Mourinho’s men could do even better still. He also expressed his pride and his own desire to improve.
“I have to say for the last six months, I look back with joy and with motivation to go forward. I think we’ve done well but what I really take as motivation is that I think we can do better,” he said.
“I’m proud of who I am, proud of what I do, but I want to be better and I have to be better. This is what drives me every day. It’s to become better. I want to, I also have to become better,” he went on to add.
The comments are incredibly impressive. Hojbjerg comes across as a real leader. It is a big statement for the £15 million (via Sky Sports) signing to assume such an important role so soon after his arrival.
But the fans appear to feel that they have heard from a future Tottenham captain. Several expressed their own pride in having Hojbjerg play for their club.
Here is what some of the supporters were saying about Hojbjerg’s interview…
For the money and for being the vital ingredient we have missed for years this guy is one of our best signings of all time

A Dave Mackay in the making. Fights for every ball, reads the game well, and takes no prisoners. Plays totally for the badge.
Our Best Buy for a long time.
