Spurs fans react to Kim Min-jae interest reports

A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from the Daily Mirror claiming that Spurs are planning to make a bid for Kim Min-jae.

Jose Mourinho looks to be well-stocked for options in defence. The club added Joe Rodon to their ranks during the final stages of the summer transfer window.

Nevertheless, it appears that the club have their eye on further additions. And according to the Daily Mirror, Kim is one player on their radar.

In fact, it is suggested that Chelsea’s interest in the 24-year-old could spark Tottenham into making a bid. It is noted by the Mirror that Beijing Guoan want to offload the South Korea international in the near future.

According to the Mirror, his contract expires in December of this year. So it would appear that the Chinese Super League side are wary of losing him for nothing.

The reports however, have been met with a very mixed response on social media. There are plenty of Spurs fans who cannot understand the appeal of a move for the centre-back.

Tottenham have depth in their squad. And thus, they feel that it is only a marquee signing that will take their defence to the next level. Some fear Kim is not that.

But there are others who would welcome a move for the defender. He is unproven in Europe. But he is a player who looks to have a lot of potential. And some supporters have suggested that he would improve the options Mourinho has to pick from.
