Spurs fans react to Jannik Vestergaard talks reports
A number of Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from The Times claiming that talks have begun over a potential move for Jannik Vestergaard.
Fabio Paratici is continuing to get stuck into the transfer window. Personal terms with Takehiro Tomiyasu have reportedly been agreed.
Meanwhile, Toby Alderweireld is keen to leave the club this summer, according to the Daily Mail.
Alderweireld arrived in North London after a successful spell with Southampton. And it appears that one Euro 2020 star may be about to make a similar switch.
According to The Times, talks are underway with Vestergaard. It is noted that he is set to cost over £18 million.
The giant centre-back, of course, is part of the Denmark squad preparing for a semi-final with England this week.
He has had a mixed time in the Premier League. But he has been much more impressive for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side in the last year or so.
Several Tottenham fans seem pleased about the reports. Vestergaard is good on the ball and will obviously, contribute aerially at both ends of the pitch.
‘He could be decent’: Spurs fans pleased with Vestergaard talks reports
He does lack pace. And that may explain why some are underwhelmed. He also turns 29 next month.
But most of the reaction has been extremely positive…
This would be an immense signing

I actually think he would be a decent signing. We typically let in loads of goals from set pieces and from crosses with current CB losing their players. He is great in the air and a dominant CB I think with somebody quick next to him he could be decent

This is the first rumor in ages that links us with a CB that can remotely pass as a natural fit to the left in a CB pair. So hell yeah, I’ll take it. It’s almost progress

Mediocre players we should be going for world class

We’ve done business with Southampton before and it paid off 🧐
