A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from the Sunday Mirror (28/3; page 75) claiming that Spurs are one of the teams keen on signing Wahid Faghir.

Faghir appears to be making a big reputation for himself. The 17-year-old has five goals in the Danish top flight this year, and was included in UEFA’s 50 for the future list for 2021.

As noted in that piece, his nickname is the ‘new Zlatan’. And it now appears that a host of sides are interested in signing him this summer.

According to the Sunday Mirror (28/3; page 75), Tottenham want the striker. Meanwhile, Leicester City have seen a £1 million bid rejected, and Ajax are also keen on him.

The report appears to have pleased a lot of Spurs fans on social media. Of course, there is some scepticism about whether Faghir will live up to expectations.

There are also some concerns about what implications signing Faghir will have for Dane Scarlett’s development.

But many who have seen the teenager play believe that he could be a brilliant signing for Tottenham. They are optimistic that he can follow in the footsteps of countrymen Christian Eriksen and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and prove a success in North London.

With that in mind, here is how some of the fans have reacted to the reports…
