Spurs fans react on Twitter to Sergio Aguero report

A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from The Telegraph this week concerning the future of Sergio Aguero.

Aguero’s future looks set to be a key talking point throughout the coming months. As noted by The Telegraph, he is set to leave Manchester City on a free transfer this summer.

Some may have assumed that he would look to leave England when his deal runs out. He has spent a decade at the Etihad Stadium and achieved an incredible amount with the Cityzens.

However, it appears that he could still be playing in the Premier League next year. According to The Telegraph, he is open to joining the likes of Spurs and Chelsea should they make a move.

Interestingly, it is claimed that he is prepared to join a side not in next season’s Champions League.

Of course, there are still hurdles to clear. According to The Sun, he is on £260,000-a-week with City. So, even on a free transfer, he is unlikely to come cheap.

And any team who makes an approach can surely expect to have a lot of competition.

But plenty of Tottenham fans have insisted that if there is an opportunity, Spurs must make a move to bring him to North London.

Aguero is coming towards the end of his career. But he has secured his place as one of the best goalscorers the Premier League has seen.

And some believe that he could actually be a game-changing signing for Tottenham if a move did take place.
